Norwich Regional Adult Education is dedicated to the service and growth of each student and committed to the belief that all students may achieve success.

About Norwich Regional Adult Education

  • Norwich Regional Adult Education (NRAE) is a cooperative adult education program administered by the Norwich Board of Education in cooperation with area Boards of Education.
  • NRAE serves the residents of the school districts of Norwich, Bozrah, East Lyme, Franklin, Ledyard, Lisbon, North Stonington, Preston, Salem, Sprague, Stonington, and Voluntown.
  • NRAE provides academic programs, family education, job training, workplace education, enrichment classes, language, counseling and assessment services.
  • More than 500 students are enrolled each year!

Message from the Director

The 2023-2024 school year is in full swing here at Norwich Regional Adult Education! My name is Dr. John Glover and I am exceptionally excited to be here as Director of Adult Education. With 22 years of experience at a variety of levels and settings in education, I look forward to working with you and growing our program to new heights!

There’s never a better time to take the step into the classroom to work on personal and/or professional growth. NRAE offers high quality programs for students such as GED, CDP, NEDP, family education, job training, workplace education, enrichment classes, language, counseling and assessment services. If you’re an adult learner who wishes to earn a high school diploma, enhance your career education prospects, learn English or become an American citizen, then NRAE is the place for you. 

With over 500 students enrolled each year, NRAE serves the towns of Norwich, Bozrah, East Lyme, Franklin, Ledyard, Lisbon, North Stonington, Norwich, Preston, Salem, Sprague, Stonington, and Voluntown. Courses/programs are offered at our main campus at 191 Hickory St. in Norwich and satellites at East Lyme High School, Stonington High School and a number of other community sites. NRAE is a community of experienced, empathetic professionals dedicated to serving our students. We are committed to providing a high-quality educational experience tailored to the needs of a diverse learning population.
