ESOL: Bridge to CNA Healthcare

Classroom and clinical training to earn certification as a CNA ( For English Language Learners Only)

This comprehensive bridge to CNA program for top-level ESOL students includes Personal Care Aide and Caregiver 1 training, CPR/AED Basic Life Support Certification, and CNA training. Students receive resume and job search assistance. Upon completion, students qualify to sit for the Connecticut State Certified Nurse Aide Exam. The program prepares students to provide basic care and assist patients with activities of daily living, and includes clinical training in a skilled nursing facility.

Requirements

• Social Security number
• English fluency shown by CASAS test
• Oral fluency
• Commitment

  • September through May

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

  • 9:00 AM-1:00 PM
